Hello, cosmic colleagues! The Ominous Press project team has been busy, and we’d like to give you a brief progress update.

Initial production for the Jim Starlin Collection is nearly wrapped! We’ll be sending both Mindgames: A Hardcore Station Story and Black Book: the Art of Jim Starlin off to the printer soon. Once our books come off the presses, they’ll be packed and shipped off to our main office in Buffalo, where our fulfillment team will begin mailing your rewards out to you. We’ll give you updates as printing progresses!

You may also have noticed that our campaign has been updated with a pre-order button! If you missed out on some items during the initial campaign, you can now find them in our Backerkit store. Adding on to your rewards is simple, and there’s a wealth of awesome stuff to choose from, including art prints, autographed books, and some as yet still-to-be-announced items of great power. Many of these rewards are limited, so grab them up as soon as you can.

This was one heck of a campaign! Thanks to all of you who commented, shared, and pledged, we raised nearly 200% of our initial funding goal!

This isn’t the end, though. We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, and we’ll be whisking everything off to the printer shortly, so we can get all your rewards printed and fulfilled.

In the meantime, Jim Starlin may be in a town near you for a convention soon! This weekend, you can meet Jim at Florida SuperCon in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Stop by and meet the Cosmic Master in person!

Tom Raney Joins the Jim Starlin Legacy Project!

With the campaign nearing its big finish, we’ve got a new reveal for the Jim Starlin Legacy Project!  

Tom Raney, Kubert School alum and artist extraordinaire, known for his work on Uncanny X-Men, Warlock and the Infinity Watch, and Ominous Press titles such as Dread Gods (available now from IDW), has illustrated a gorgeous piece featuring Adam Warlock. An artistic masterclass, Tom’s inked original measures 11 inches by 17 inches, and can be yours for a pledge of $750 or more. Your pledge will also include digital and physical copies of both Black Book: The Art of Jim Starlin and Jim’s lusciously illustrated novella Mindgames: A Hardcore Station Story.  

This may be the latest addition to the Jim Starlin Legacy Project, but there’s still an awesome collection of original artwork left to claim. Get them now, before they’re gone forever!

Good morning, everyone! Just two days left to get in on the cosmic goodness that is the Jim Starlin Collection.  

Towards the end of any Kickstarter campaign, pledges get adjusted, people change reward tiers, and sometimes they even have to fully cancel pledges. What that means for you is that some reward tiers that had previously sold out have become available again!  

The first item available again is the Jim Starlin Portfolio reward tier, which includes five incredible prints of Jim’s work featuring Dreadstar, Captain Marvel, Mongul, Superman, Thor, and Thanos himself. 

Also available is the Jim Starlin Infinite Autograph reward tier. Sold out for weeks, you again have a chance to own a Jim Starlin-signed copy of Infinity Gauntlet #1, the comic that inspired the events of “Avengers: Infinity War”!

Our campaign is almost finished, and the Jim Starlin Original Artwork tier has not been claimed!  

This is your opportunity to own a truly unique piece of original artwork by Jim Starlin. Measuring 13 inches by 18 inches, this inked piece depicts Thanos battling the Incredible Hulk (with much the same outcome as seen in “Avengers: Infinity War.” Sean HusVar, Publisher of Ominous Press, is donating this sought-after piece to the campaign, and as much as he’d hate to see it go, he’s prepared to part with it for one lucky backer.
