More Stretch Goals Revealed!
almost 6 years ago – Sat, Jun 23, 2018 at 10:23:41 AM

You may have noticed that we added a stretch goals graphic to our campaign. Let’s take some time to delve into those cosmic mysteries!

You’ve already crushed our funding marks for the first two stretch goals, meaning we’ll be shipping out Ominous Press’s comic Legendary #4 featuring a wrap-around cover by Jim Starlin, as well as a print of Jim’s first-ever Thanos illustration, to anyone that has pledged for a physical reward tier. As a reminder, if we break the $45K barrier, everyone pledging for a physical reward will get the amazing Dreadstar art print by Bart Sears, featuring the beautiful color of Neeraj Menon.

After that? If we cross the $55K threshold, physical backers will receive a special preview of a new Dreadstar story. $65K and $100K will be Cosmic Mysteries left to be unlocked! What kind of mysteries … well, that would be telling! Stay tuned for details!

We know we can accomplish all of this, but not without your help. Please take a moment to share our campaign on your social media accounts. The more we raise, the more of these incredible stretch goals will be made a reality!

Surf’s Up for New Reward Tier!
almost 6 years ago – Fri, Jun 22, 2018 at 03:10:34 PM

It’s become clear to us that your excitement for Jim Starlin knows no bounds! We never expected that the autographed copies of Infinity Gauntlet #1 would sell out so quickly! Luckily for you, we always keep a spare reward tier on hand for just such an occasion.

For a pledge of $150 or more, you can be the proud new owner of a Jim Starlin autographed copy of the original graphic novel Silver Surfer: Homecoming, written by Jim and illustrated by Bill Reinhold

Limited to just 25 copies, these pristine, unread books would be a welcome addition to any collection! The reward level also includes physical copies of Black Book: The Art of Jim Starlin and Mindgames. Copies of the autographed sets of Batman: The Cult and Cosmic Odyssey are also still available.

A Piece of OMACulate Art
almost 6 years ago – Fri, Jun 22, 2018 at 02:09:30 PM

When we set out to start the Jim Starlin Legacy Project, we knew it would be big, but we never could have imagined how quickly everyone would respond to it. Each piece we’ve announced has been claimed on the first day, or even the first hour. It’s clearly a special project to us, and your outpouring and interest have been wonderful.

Now, with the pleasantries out of the way, let’s get down to announcing our next piece!

Legendary writer/artist Phil Hester, known for his acclaimed Green Arrow and Swamp Thing runs, as well as his catalog of brilliant creator-owned titles, has masterfully penciled this tribute to Jim Starlin’s OMAC! Offered at the $750 pledge tier, this piece measures a full 11 inches by 17 inches, brilliantly inked by Bruce McCorkindale.

Two Reveals, One Update
almost 6 years ago – Thu, Jun 21, 2018 at 03:30:07 PM

It would seem the forces of cosmic evil banded together to prevent our updates from going out as scheduled yesterday. But now that we've banished the Black Order, we're giving you two reveals in one update!

First: stretch goals! Thanks to your constant care and attention to this campaign, we blew past our $35,000 mark and now everyone who pledged for a physical reward will be getting a print of Jim Starlin’s first-ever illustration of Thanos. You knew that, but what you didn’t know is that lurking just around the corner at $45,000 is a reward so cosmically awesome that we suspect the Reality Stone must be involved. Bart Sears has drawn this Dreadstar masterpiece in tribute to Jim Starlin. When the $45,000 barrier is broken, all backers who pledged for a physical reward tier will receive a full-color print of Bart's stunning piece!

Next up, our second big reveal is a new piece of artwork from the Jim Starlin Legacy Project. DC and Marvel artist Andy Smith, who served as inker for Jim Starlin on his recent Thanos graphic novels, penciled and inked this incredible piece featuring Starlin creations Thanos, his brother Starfox, and his daughter Gamora. The original artwork measures a full 11 inches by 17 inches, and will go to one lucky backer at the $750 reward tier! This is a one-of-a-kind item, so once it's gone, it's gone!
